SHERIDAN, WYOMING – August 5, 2025 – The Lotsane Signature Collection in Botswana offers a high-comfort tented stay directly on the banks of the Limpopo River. Designed for travelers who want to experience wildlife and natural landscapes without giving up modern design and quality materials, the lodge combines visual aesthetics with practical luxury.
Staying in a Tented Camp on the Limpopo River
The camp is located in the Tuli Block region of Botswana, surrounded by natural wilderness and far away from light pollution or traffic. Each tent is just a few meters from the river and positioned to provide direct views into the environment.
Guests stay in one of three accommodations:
- Two standard tents with full amenities
- One large luxury tent with private living area and kitchen
Each tent includes outdoor seating, and depending on the time of day, guests may see hippos, crocodiles, or giraffes without leaving their terrace. A private pool is available for relaxing between guided wildlife tours.
Quiet Evenings and Local Storytelling
In the evenings, the property shifts to a calm and natural setting. An open fire is prepared, and guests gather around a traditional Boma. A local historian regularly visits and tells stories about animals, cultural beliefs, and the region’s past. Dinner takes place in an open outdoor kitchen or the shared lounge space known as the Lapa.
Interior Design Focused on Materials and Comfort
The interior of the tents is designed with a clear focus on texture and balance. Instead of traditional canvas walls, the spaces use wide glass panels that open completely, combined with mosquito net sliding doors. This allows airflow and connection to the environment without full exposure.
- Earth-colored tones dominate the visual style
- Local craft patterns are used on textiles and furniture
- Animal prints and natural accents give contrast to the design
- All furniture and objects are chosen individually, not in bulk
According to Petra Schorr, the owner:I am proud that we’ve created a design that blends African luxury with timeless elegance. Every detail was crafted with love — together with interior designer Lynne Blumberg. It’s a place where style meets soul.
Background and Property Details
The Lotsane Signature Collection was created by a German couple. The land was once part of the holdings of Cecil Rhodes. Today, it includes a main lodge with 13 rooms and 3 high-end river suites. For guests wanting full privacy, the Shaturia Manor House includes its own pool, sauna, and a private staff service.
During the rainy season, the property becomes home to many bird species, hippos, and antelopes. Rather than focusing on the “Big Five,” the camp encourages observation of a wide variety of animals and plants.
Visitor Information
The Lotsane Signature Collection is open year-round, with dry season months (May to October) offering the best animal visibility. Booking information and further images are available at: www.lotsanelimpopo.com
