Embassy Suites Nashville at Vanderbilt Set for Exciting Upgrade After $45M Acquisition

SHERIDAN, WYOMING – April 29, 2025 – A beloved hotel in the heart of Nashville’s vibrant West End is getting a fresh new look and promising an even better stay for visitors. The Embassy Suites by Hilton Nashville at Vanderbilt has been acquired in a $45.36 million deal, and a major renovation is on the horizon—bringing new energy to a property just steps from Music Row and Vanderbilt University.

Nashville’s West End Gem Enters a New Chapter

Mesa West Capital has provided first mortgage financing to a joint venture between Reade Hotel Capital and an affiliate of Westport Capital Partners for the acquisition of the 208-room hotel. Known for its prime location near Lower Broadway’s iconic live music venues, Bridgestone Arena, and the Music City Convention Center, the Embassy Suites has remained a top choice for both business and leisure travelers.

The hotel’s popularity has held steady since the pandemic, and this new investment is expected to elevate the guest experience even further.

Big Renovations Mean Better Stays

A portion of the financing will support a multimillion-dollar renovation, marking the first significant upgrade since 2015. The planned improvements aim to refresh the entire hotel, with updates that will appeal to today’s discerning travelers.

Guests can look forward to:

  • Fully renovated guestrooms and corridors
  • Enhanced common areas for socializing and relaxing
  • Expanded and upgraded meeting space—nearly 4,100 sq. ft.—ideal for business events and group gatherings

With these updates, the property is poised to capture more of the booming business and group travel market. This is particularly timely as Nashville anticipates further growth fueled by major developments like the new Nissan Stadium, Oracle’s campus, and the MidCity Nashville project.

A Strong Investment in Nashville’s Hospitality Scene

“This was an opportunity to provide financing for a cash-flowing asset backed by an experienced sponsorship group, with sufficient capital allocated for necessary renovations—strategically positioning the property to take advantage of Nashville’s strong hospitality demand,” said Russell Frahm, executive director of Mesa West Capital. He led the origination team alongside VP Brian Hahn and Associate Boyd Howard, all from Mesa West’s New York office.

The financing was arranged by Rob Turner, Adam Licari, and Auston Ingram from Eastdil Secured’s New York office.

With Nashville welcoming nearly 17 million visitors in 2023—and over one-third of them business travelers—the future looks bright for this ideally located hotel.

Plan Your Future Stay in Style

Whether you’re planning a music-fueled weekend getaway or attending a conference downtown, the revamped Embassy Suites Nashville at Vanderbilt will soon offer a more modern, comfortable, and connected stay. The renovations are expected to breathe new life into the 11-story property, aligning with the city’s dynamic growth and Southern charm.
