P&G Champions Women Leaders in Water Sustainability with Powerful Global Impact

SHERIDAN, WYOMING – May 3, 2025 – In an inspiring move toward a more sustainable and inclusive future, Procter & Gamble (P&G) is spotlighting four remarkable women who are driving innovation and impact through the company’s Water Positive Future initiative. From advanced engineering to community empowerment, their stories reflect a powerful blend of personal passion and professional purpose — and demonstrate how inclusive leadership is reshaping the future of water sustainability for people and the planet.

Empowering Everyday Sustainability at Home

For Ashley Fill, Director of Canada and Global Home Care Sustainability at P&G, protecting the environment isn’t just a job — it’s a lifelong mission. Raised in the heart of Canada’s natural beauty, Ashley combines her love for nature with consumer insights to make meaningful changes in households worldwide.

Her work focuses on reducing water consumption through P&G Home Care brands like Cascade and Dawn. "Water conservation is a critical part of our sustainability strategy," she explains, highlighting the importance of understanding consumer behavior to inspire change.

Thanks to insights from real-life use, innovations like Cascade Platinum Plus now empower people to skip pre-rinsing and save both time and water — all without sacrificing cleanliness. “An inclusive team is critical to advance our water reduction strategies,” Ashley notes. “The more perspectives we bring in, the better our solutions will be.”

Creating Ripple Effects with Clean Water Access

Claude Zukowski, Senior Director of Community Impact, brings a scientific background and a humanitarian heart to her leadership of P&G’s Children’s Safe Drinking Water (CSDW) Program. This global initiative has delivered more than 24 billion liters of clean water to people in over 100 countries — a lifeline for nearly two billion people who still lack access to safe drinking water.

But for Claude, the mission goes beyond hydration. “Lack of access to clean water disproportionately impacts [women and girls'] education, health and economic opportunities,” she explains. That’s why the program not only delivers clean water but also amplifies female voices, ensuring they are active partners in crafting community-driven solutions.

Restoring Resources Through Local Leadership

In Mexico City, a region deeply affected by water scarcity, Verónica Gabriela Castillejos Vélez leads with purpose. As Government Relations Manager and head of P&G Mexico’s Water Positive Future project, she’s on a mission to restore water supplies and enhance the lives of local communities.

"What drew me to this work is my vision to deliver a better world for future generations," Verónica shares. By uniting diverse perspectives and collaborating with stakeholders, she helps shape policies and programs that reflect the region’s cultural and environmental needs.

“The inclusive environment at P&G fosters collaboration and innovation,” she says. “Allowing all voices to be heard and valued […] enhances our collective efforts in addressing critical water challenges.”

Innovating Inside the Plant – and Beyond

Behind the scenes, Andrea Campos, Global Water and Effluent Engineer, is transforming how P&G manufacturing plants use and recycle water. Since joining in 2017, she’s engineered groundbreaking systems that recover 92% of wastewater— a huge leap toward circular water use and sustainability.

Andrea’s journey is fueled by passion for both innovation and mentorship. “Water systems aren’t easy to understand,” she says, “but every time I can inspire someone, […] that’s when I’m proud of my work.” Her vision? A world where everyone values water as a shared, finite resource — and takes responsibility to protect it.

A Future Powered by Inclusion and Innovation

From homes to factories, classrooms to global communities, these women are making waves. Their collective efforts show that when inclusion drives innovation, the results benefit everyone — not just today, but for generations to come.
