SHERIDAN, WYOMING – April 20, 2025 - Nuro’s funding momentum continues with new backing in its ongoing Series E round, boosting its total capital raised to US$2.2 billion.
Strategic investors fuel growth in autonomy innovation
Nuro, Inc has announced the addition of US$106 million to its Series E funding round, valuing the autonomous vehicle company at US$6 billion. The investment round includes both new and returning backers, with participation from strategic partners as well as major financial institutions.
Prominent investors include funds and accounts advised by T. Rowe Price Associates, Inc., Fidelity Management & Research Company, Tiger Global Management, Greylock Partners, and XN LP.
Advancing driverless technology through real-world experience
The investment reflects a continued vote of confidence in Nuro’s platform, which has been refined through more than eight years of development and four years of real-world, driver-out deployments in California and Texas. Nuro’s technology has reached a notable milestone—operating at city scale with no safety driver, a feat achieved by only a select few in the industry.
Scalable, license-ready autonomy for multiple markets
By focusing on a licensing-driven approach, Nuro offers vehicle-agnostic and cost-effective autonomy solutions. These can be integrated into commercial fleets, robotaxis, and even personal vehicles, significantly expanding the applicability of its AI-first self-driving system.
“We’re excited to see strong investor enthusiasm for our Series E,” said Jiajun Zhu, co-founder and CEO of Nuro. “Our technology, years of experience with driver-out Level 4 deployments and focus on licensing uniquely position us to help auto makers, mobility platforms and commercial fleets accelerate their autonomy roadmaps.”
Paving the road ahead
The fresh capital from this round is set to power Nuro’s next stage of growth, including scaling its AI-based technology platform and deepening commercial partnerships. Additional details regarding Series E participants are expected in the coming weeks.
