BMW Group Appoints Broderick McKinney to Lead U.S. Used Car Operations

SHERIDAN, WYOMING – June 11, 2025 – BMW Group Financial Services North America is gearing up for a significant leadership shift, bringing a familiar face into a pivotal role for the pre-owned vehicle market. Starting July 1, 2025, Broderick McKinney will become Vice President, Used Cars, taking over from Rocio Carrascosa, who is set to return to Spain as CEO of BMW Bank GmbH's Spanish branch.

This move highlights BMW’s commitment to strengthening its pre-owned car division—a market that continues to grow in importance for consumers seeking premium quality at more accessible prices.

A Leader with Proven Results in Sales and Customer Engagement

McKinney is no stranger to the BMW family. He currently serves as Vice President, Central Region at BMW of North America, where he leads sales, marketing, aftersales, and dealer development across the midwestern U.S. market. Under his leadership since 2020, the region has celebrated record-breaking new vehicle sales over the past two years.

His career with BMW began in 2003 as a Market Sales Operations Manager in the Chicago Market. He later served as Department Head for MINI in the Central Region, further broadening his brand and dealer expertise.

“We are excited to welcome Broderick to the BMW Group Financial Services, NA team as he takes over the pre-owned business, a critical component of our operations,” said Birgit Boehm, President and CEO of BMW Group Financial Services NA. “With his extensive experience within the sales company and working alongside our dealer network, we are confident that he will drive continued growth and innovation in this key area. At the same time, we want to express our sincere gratitude to Rocio for her strong leadership and contributions over these past three years. We wish her all the best as she returns to her home market to take on this exciting new role.”

Consumer Impacts and What This Means for Used BMW Buyers

For consumers, this leadership change signals a likely boost in both the variety and availability of certified pre-owned BMW vehicles across the U.S. McKinney’s focus on regional dealer collaboration and sales growth suggests that shoppers can expect:

  • Enhanced certified pre-owned inventory at local BMW dealerships
  • Streamlined purchasing processes and financing support
  • Continued attention to quality assurance and vehicle reconditioning standards

As more drivers explore luxury in the pre-owned market, BMW’s strategic focus ensures they don’t have to compromise on quality, trust, or customer experience.

A New Chapter for Rocio Carrascosa

Rocio Carrascosa, who has served BMW Group Financial Services NA with distinction for the past three years, is returning to Spain for an exciting promotion as CEO of BMW Bank GmbH’s Spanish division. Her legacy includes steady leadership and impactful contributions during a period of market evolution.

Available Nationwide Starting July

McKinney officially steps into his new role on July 1, 2025. BMW customers across the U.S. will soon experience the benefits of his vision as updates to the pre-owned experience roll out through BMW dealership networks.
