SHERIDAN, WYOMING – April 16, 2025 - Alfa Romeo marks a milestone anniversary with a bold new logo that honors the brand’s legendary past and celebrates a future driven by innovation.
Alfa Romeo is proud to present its official 115th-anniversary logo, a sleek emblem of heritage and ambition that pays tribute to over a century of Italian style, performance, and motorsport triumphs. As the brand approaches its official birthday on June 24, fans across the globe are joining in the celebration, united under a symbol that reflects the timeless bond between Alfa Romeo and its global community of enthusiasts.
A logo that brings history to life
Alfa Romeo’s 115th-anniversary logo is a powerful representation of the brand’s enduring legacy and its forward momentum. Designed with a contemporary flair, the logo features a bold, ascending “115” to reflect Alfa Romeo’s relentless pursuit of innovation and excellence. The iconic Biscione serpent—long a symbol of the brand—wraps around the number “5,” adding dimension and depth while anchoring the design in Alfa Romeo’s rich heritage.
“The bold contrast between the deep black of the numerals and Alfa red is reminiscent of the brand’s identity, defined by passion, sportiness, and Italian style,” the company states.
This striking new emblem is more than a visual update—it’s a centerpiece for the brand’s global anniversary celebrations, including rallies, events, and dedicated merchandise. With more than 250 Alfa Romeo clubs worldwide, the logo is being shared freely to fuel local fan engagement and foster a global sense of unity among “Alfisti.”
Honoring racing legends and historic victories
The timing of the logo’s debut is no accident. It coincides with two of the most iconic events in Alfa Romeo’s motorsport legacy. On April 12-13, 1930, Tazio Nuvolari and Giovanni Battista Guidotti claimed a historic victory at the Mille Miglia in the Alfa Romeo 6C 1750 Gran Sport #84. Not only was this Nuvolari’s first win in the legendary race, but it also marked the first time an average speed of 100 km/h was achieved on such a long and challenging route.
Just seven years earlier, on April 15, 1923, Ugo Sivocci secured another landmark win at the Targa Florio in the Alfa Romeo RL TF—this time introducing the now-iconic Quadrifoglio emblem. Originally a good luck charm, the four-leaf clover has since become a hallmark of Alfa Romeo’s highest-performance vehicles and racing spirit.
“These episodes… have contributed to sculpting the Alfa Romeo legend in the collective unconscious,” the brand notes, emphasizing their lasting impact on Alfa’s identity.
2025: A year of unparalleled anniversaries
While the 115th anniversary is reason enough to celebrate, 2025 brings an extraordinary confluence of historic milestones for Alfa Romeo. From its first world title in Formula 1 to the debut of beloved models that defined eras, the year is packed with moments that underscore the brand’s place in automotive history.
In 1925, the GP Tipo P2 clinched victory in the inaugural World Motor Championship—an achievement that cemented Alfa Romeo’s elite status in global motorsport. Fast forward to 1950, and the Tipo 158 “Alfetta” secured the first-ever Formula 1 World Championship, driven by the legendary Nino Farina.
This year also marks the 75th anniversary of the 1900, Alfa Romeo’s first mass-produced vehicle, and the launch of iconic models like the Giulietta Berlina (1955), the Giulia Sprint GTA (1965), the 33 TT 12 (1975), and the Alfa 75 (1985)—each one a symbol of its time and a testament to the brand’s evolution.
“In short, we are faced with a series of anniversaries that is not a mere coincidence, but an extraordinary synchrony of history,” Alfa Romeo notes. “Every date, every car, every milestone contributes to plotting the unique profile of Alfa Romeo.”
Looking forward while honoring the past
As Alfa Romeo reflects on its storied past, it remains firmly focused on the future. The new anniversary logo not only celebrates a century of achievement but also sets the stage for the next chapter in the brand’s evolution—one that continues to be defined by passion, performance, and Italian design excellence.
